More than 800 salivary acids is considered high. The reference range for normal human serum salivary acid values is 45.6~75.6 mg/L.
1. Salivary acid (SA) is an important part of cell membrane glycoproteins. If the salivary acid in the blood is elevated, there may be the occurrence of tumors, such as acute leukemia, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, intestinal cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, gastric cancer, lung cancer, or ovarian cancer will have elevated values of salivary acid.
2. If the salivary acid is slightly elevated, there may be inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis, kidney disease, systemic lupus erythematosus or lung infection. Usually after the inflammation is treated, the value of salivary acid will return to the normal level.
If the salivary acid is as high as more than 800, it is recommended to complete other related examinations in time to identify the cause of the disease and then treat the symptoms.
