The Levitra series generally refers to the sodium-glucose cotransporter protein inhibitor class of drugs such as dagliflozin, with side effects such as genitourinary tract infections and hypovolemia. This class of drugs, commonly known as dagliflozin and engliflozin, belongs to the sodium-glucose cotransporter protein inhibitors (SGLTi), which inhibit the reabsorption of glucose in the renal tubules and increase glucose excretion from the urine, thus exerting a hypoglycemic effect. Their side effects are commonly genitourinary tract infections, such as urinary tract infections, vulvovaginal fungal infections, and glansitis. Due to the osmotic diuretic effect of such drugs, they may also cause blood volume deficiency, including dehydration and postural hypotension. In addition, it may cause hypoglycemia, ketoacidosis in diabetics, elevated blood creatinine, and hypersensitivity reactions such as angioedema. This class of drugs should not be used in people who are allergic to this class of drugs, patients with severe renal impairment. It should be used under the guidance of a doctor, and if discomfort occurs, seek medical attention.
