Chinese herbal remedies for pneumonia

Pneumonia belongs to the category of cough in traditional Chinese medicine, and the treatment prescriptions include San’ao Tang, Sang Ju Drink, Sang Xing Tang, Er Chen Tang, Qing Jin Hua Phlegm Tang, Di Bai San and Sha Shen Maidong Tang. 1. Er Chen Tang: composed of Pinellia, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Poria, and Glycyrrhiza, can treat phlegm-dampness impregnation of the lungs, which is characterized by cough with white sputum, tightness in the chest, poor appetite, white and greasy tongue coating, and slippery pulse. 5. Qing Jin Hua Phlegm Tang: composed of Sang Bai Pi, Scutellaria baicalensis, Zhi Mu, Gardenia jasminoides, Bei Mu, etc. It can treat phlegm-heat congestion of the lungs, symptomatic cough with yellow sputum, red face, red tongue, yellowish greasy moss and slippery pulse. 6. Diarrhea and Bai San: composed of Sang Bai Pi, Dibao Pi, Zhi Mu, Scutellariae Radix, Glycyrrhiza Glabra, etc. It can treat liver-heat congestion of the lungs, as evidenced by coughing, with symptoms fluctuating according to the mood, pale red tongue, thin white moss, and strings on the pulse. 7. Sha Shen Mai Dong Tang: composed of Sha Shen, Mai Dong, pollen, bamboo, lily, etc. It can treat the deficiency of lung yin, symptoms of dry cough, five heart-heat (heat in the heart of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest), red tongue, little moss, and fine pulse.
