The superior sagittal sinus is located between the superior margin of the falx and the midline of the top inner plate of the skull. The superior sagittal sinus is the largest venous sinus in the skull. A single dural venous sinus, it runs from the blind foramen posteriorly to the occiput and expands posteriorly to form a sinus confluence. It receives blood from the superior cerebral vein, the dural vein and the cranial veins, and injects it into the sinus confluence, which is mostly continuous with the right transverse sinus, and to a lesser extent with the left transverse sinus. Blood flow through this area, once damaged, can lead to cerebral hemorrhage and the corresponding symptoms. If you are not feeling well, you should go to the regular hospital in time for appropriate examination, and actively under the guidance of professional doctors to avoid delaying your condition.
