A visual acuity of 4.4 is the result of a visual acuity chart, and there is no one-to-one correlation between visual acuity and refractive error. If a patient wants to know his/her refractive error, he/she needs to undergo an optometric examination to find out the exact refractive error. Visual acuity of 4.4 generally refers to visual acuity, i.e., visual power, while the eyeglass prescription we usually refer to refers to the refractive power. There is no conversion between visual acuity and refractive error, and patients can get a clear picture of the refractive error of their eyes through optometry. If the patient wants to get a more accurate refractive error, generally younger than 12 years old teenagers, when doing dilated optometry first need to do ciliary muscle paralysis, while older than 12 years old teenagers can directly do rapid dilated optometry. It is recommended that patients with abnormal optometry test results should seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and treat them under the guidance of a physician.
