Can pregnant women eat maitake?

If the pregnant woman is identified as having a deficiency of lung and stomach yin, she can use maitong under the guidance of her physician.
Maitong is a traditional Chinese medicine, its flavor is sweet, slightly bitter, slightly cold, to the heart, lung, stomach meridian. It has the efficacy of generating fluids, quenching thirst, moisturizing the lungs and relieving cough.
This product is often used in the clinic for lung dryness and dry cough, yin deficiency and consumptive cough, paralysis of the throat (pharynx red, swollen and painful, or dry, with a sense of foreign body, or pharyngeal itching and discomfort, dysphagia), sore throat, thirst and fluid injuries, heartburn and insomnia, intestinal paralysis and constipation and other diseases. Pregnant women can use it according to the above indications.
The adverse reactions of Maidong are not clear at present. Note that the product is prohibited for those who are allergic to the product, allergic persons should be cautious, where the spleen is weak loose stools (feces thin and not shaped), lungs and stomach have phlegm (water metabolism disorders formed by the formation of pathological products), damp and turbid, and the first wind-cold coughing people should not be taken.
If there is a need to use maitake, it should be prescribed by a physician for identification and typing, and used under his guidance, and not blindly used on its own, so as not to cause adverse effects on the fetus.
