Ovarian cysts and ectopic pregnancy are two very different conditions with no correlation. If the ovarian tumor is small and often asymptomatic, a mass in the adnexal area is often found during a gynecological examination or during an ultrasound. If a gynecological examination is done and there is a cystic mass in the adnexal area, an ultrasound can reveal the translucency of the ovarian cyst, among other things. Patients with ectopic pregnancy usually have a history of menopause and abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding, and the abdominal pain can be mild or severe. If the ectopic pregnancy ruptures, the abdominal pain can be very severe, but it is less severe until it does. If there is vaginal bleeding beyond the menstrual period, the doctor will usually ask for an early pregnancy test. If the test is positive, consider the possibility of ectopic pregnancy, so there is not much correlation between the two diseases.
