Before you can get the HPV vaccine, also known as the human papillomavirus vaccine, you need to be examined. A gynecological examination and screening for cervical cancer is required at the gynecologist’s office to rule out cervical lesions before an appointment can be made for the HPV vaccine. Cervical cancer screening mainly includes liquid-based cervical cytology and high-risk HPV testing, which are the first steps in cervical cancer screening. If problems are found during the initial screening process, further colposcopy or even cervical biopsy pathology will be required. If there is a problem with cervical cancer screening, cervical cancer vaccination is not recommended. If both of these are normal, you can make an appointment for the vaccination.
