The difference between pulmonary space and pulmonary nodule is mainly manifested in the appearance of the lesion, the characteristics of imaging performance and other aspects, they are not the same imaging terminology.
Lung occupations and lung nodules are both lesions that occur in the lungs and are two commonly used imaging terms. The difference between these two terms is mainly manifested in the following aspects.
1. In terms of the appearance of the lesion, a pulmonary space can be an irregular lesion that is larger than 3cm, or a relatively regular lesion. Lung nodules, on the other hand, are usually relatively regular round or oval-like lesions, with lesions smaller than 3 cm.
2. From the point of view of imaging performance, lung space can be high-density foci, low-density foci, or isodense foci. Lung nodular lesions are mostly high-density lesions.
Generally, in order to distinguish between the two, the occupying or nodular foci can be punctured for histopathologic examination.
