CT of the lower abdomen can detect many problems. If the patient has pain in the right lower abdomen, this can be checked to clarify whether it is acute appendicitis or ileal diverticulum. In the case of women, it can also clarify if the pregnancy is ectopic, if the ovarian cyst is ruptured, or if the ovarian cyst is torsionally twisted. In some patients, it can also clarify whether there is inflammation of the bladder, or ureteral stones or ureteral malignancy. Sometimes only by checking enhanced CT can help to clarify some diseases, but there are some diseases that cannot be clarified by checking CT, and further corresponding laboratory tests are needed, including blood routine, urine routine, tumor markers, ionophoresis, liver function, etc. Sometimes colonoscopy is also needed to make a comprehensive judgment to clarify the cause of the disease.
