If the mouth is bitter during infusion, it is usually identified from two aspects of Chinese medicine and Western medicine. First, from the perspective of Chinese medicine, bitterness of the mouth after infusion is due to fire in the body. When liver fire, lung fire or heart fire is strong, the clinical symptoms of bitterness of the mouth during infusion will be consciously felt. Secondly, from the perspective of Western medicine, the most common factor of bitter mouth during infusion is digestive system diseases, often due to acute gastric mucosal reflux, acute gastrointestinal tract, gastric mucosal atrophy or bile reflux gastritis, acute erosive gastritis, acute atrophic gastritis or ulcers in the stomach and duodenal bulb, all of which will have clinical symptoms of bitter mouth during infusion. The side effects of anti-inflammatory drug infusion can cause bitter mouth during infusion, such as bitter mouth and dry throat when infusing antibiotics, which are all adverse reactions to infusion.
