What’s wrong with your toes?

Numbness of the toes may be a physiological phenomenon, or it may be a symptom of certain diseases, such as diabetes, spinal cervical spondylosis, etc., and should be promptly consulted to identify the cause.
1. Physiological factors: common causes, such as sleeping for a long time pressure on the toes, or a long time in the same position, when the body’s sudden activity can appear transient numbness of the toes.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) diabetes: diabetic patients with no good control of blood sugar, causing peripheral blood supply disorders, peripheral neuropathy causing numbness in the toes, and even hypesthesia of the endings of the extremities, especially the endings of the lower limbs appear symmetrical numbness, pain, or cold.
(2) Spinal cord cervical spondylosis: the disease can cause numbness in the toes, and even numbness and heaviness in one or both lower limbs, followed by gradual difficulty in walking, tightness in the muscles of the lower limbs, slow lifting, and inability to walk fast.
This symptom alone is not enough to diagnose the disease, and it may be caused by other factors, such as central nervous system lesions. It is recommended that if physiological causes are excluded, timely consultation should be made, so that the doctor can clarify the cause of the disease and give targeted treatment.
