Can high blood viscosity be cured?

High blood viscosity is a high viscosity of the blood, and the mobility of the blood will be poor. High blood viscosity can be cured. In clinical practice, there are two factors that cause high blood viscosity: the first is an increase in the number of blood cells in the blood, such as patients with true erythrocytosis, patients with primary thrombocytosis, and patients with decreased deformability of red blood cells. The second condition is an alteration in the solute composition of the plasma, such as increased blood viscosity in patients with hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, multiple myeloma, and patients with hyperfibrinogenemia. Therefore, high blood viscosity can be cured if the cause of increased blood viscosity is known and treated through the etiology. For example, if high blood viscosity is caused by hyperglycemia, the patient’s blood sugar is normalized and the high blood viscosity is cured by giving insulin or oral hypoglycemic drugs and then controlled through diet. In addition, if a patient with high blood lipids is given lipid-lowering medication and a light diet, the patient’s high blood viscosity will also be relieved when the blood lipids are normalized.
