A more common cause of fever and diarrhea in six-month-olds is diarrhea caused by a norovirus or rotavirus infection, so take your child to the hospital for a routine stool check. If it is indeed a rotavirus infection, the first thing to do is to give your child probiotics. Also take anti-diarrhea medication, such as Simethicone. If the child’s diarrhea is not relieved or worsens after taking the medication, the child needs to be taken to the hospital for rehydration, which can easily lead to dehydration or electrolyte disorders. In addition, if the temperature exceeds 38.5 ℃, you need to give your child antipyretic and analgesic antipyretic drugs, such as ibuprofen suspension.
