What’s this hard lump under my earlobe?

There are many reasons why there is a hard lump below the earlobe, the common ones are sebaceous cysts, boils, lipomas and so on.
1. Sebaceous cysts: If the sebaceous gland ducts below the earlobe are blocked, causing sebaceous cysts, hard lumps may appear below the earlobe.
2. Boils: boils occurring in the earlobe are suppurative inflammation, which is manifested as pimples in mild cases, and with the progress of the disease, hard nodules can be formed gradually, resulting in hard lumps in the earlobe, and may even induce lesions and pus symptoms.
3. Lipoma: it is a kind of common soft tissue benign tumor, which is composed of mature fat cells and can occur in any part of the body with fat. When it occurs below the earlobe, it manifests as a lump below the earlobe.
There may be other reasons for a hard lump below the earlobe, such as a swelling in the parotid gland area, etc. If the lump gradually increases in size or is accompanied by pain and other symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause and actively treat it.
