Drinking more tea is neither good nor bad for patients with hepatitis B. If hepatitis B is accompanied by cirrhosis and liver ascites, attention should be paid to limiting the intake of water, drinking more tea may cause ascites. For hepatitis B carriers, it is recommended that regular medical checkups for liver disease be conducted every six months. The medical examination mainly includes liver function, hepatitis B two-to-one half, hepatitis B virus DNA, alpha-fetoprotein, liver ultrasound and liver elasticity test to clarify whether there is an attack of hepatitis. If there is an attack of hepatitis, antiviral treatment will be required. If it is clear that there is hepatitis B cirrhosis or even liver cancer, lifelong treatment with oral antiviral drugs is required. A low sodium diet is recommended for patients with cirrhosis of the liver.
