Can you tell the difference between gallbladder sludge and gallbladder cancer on ultrasound?

Gallbladder sediment mainly refers to sediment-like gallstones, which are different from gallbladder cancer under ultrasound examination, but there are some people whose disease manifestation is not obvious and need further examination for differentiation. In diagnosis, abdominal ultrasound is the most common and valuable method, which usually shows that there are strong echogenic masses in the gallbladder and biliary system, and they can move according to the change of body position; if it is combined with cholecystitis, the wall of gallbladder can be thickened and rough. For gallbladder cancer, ultrasound is usually used as a preliminary screening tool to understand the condition of abdominal organs, while gallbladder cancer mainly manifests as suspicious masses in the gallbladder, which is difficult to clarify its nature; if it is carcinoma in situ of the gallbladder, it is difficult to be detected by ultrasound, and further abdominal CT, cholangiography and other examinations are needed to make a diagnosis. It is recommended to go to regular hospitals for consultation and treatment and follow the doctor’s instructions to avoid delaying the condition.
