Single thyroid nodule with mixed echogenicity, how to treat it

Mixed echogenicity of a single thyroid nodule is a thyroid ultrasound finding, and treatment should be decided in conjunction with other imaging parameters and the results of a puncture biopsy. Benign nodules should be reviewed regularly; symptomatic or malignant nodules should be treated with surgery. 1. Asymptomatic benign thyroid nodules: If there are no obvious symptoms of benign thyroid nodules, patients are advised to go to the hospital for regular checkups to observe the condition of the nodules. 2. Benign thyroid nodules with obvious symptoms: If benign thyroid nodules have obvious symptoms, such as dysphagia, dyspnea and other symptoms of pressure, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, surgical treatment, thyroidectomy or consider removing part of the thyroid gland. 3. Malignant thyroid nodules: once diagnosed, malignant thyroid nodules should be treated with surgery according to the condition, such as thyroidectomy or partial thyroidectomy. Patients with thyroid nodules should consult the doctor for a reasonable treatment plan.
