Does having two periods a month have anything to do with wearing an IUD?

The ring is also known as the intrauterine device, two periods a month may be related to the intrauterine device, but not completely sure, in addition to the intrauterine device may also be a normal physiological phenomenon, or uterine fibroids, luteal insufficiency and other factors caused.
After placing the IUD, because the IUD can compress the local endometrium and cause inflammatory reaction, some women’s body can therefore appear uncomfortable, such as menstrual disorders, shortened menstrual cycle, increased menstrual flow and so on, these symptoms are mostly seen within six months after placing the IUD.
Although IUDs may cause shortened menstrual cycles, not all shortened menstrual cycles are related to them. For example, some people have two periods a month, but the first one is at the beginning of the month and the second one is at the end of the month, and the interval between the two periods is more than 21 days, which is normal and is caused by the short follicular phase of the individual.
There are also some women who have two periods in a month, which may be caused by uterine fibroids and luteal insufficiency. The former is caused by fibroids that increase the size of the uterine cavity and affect uterine contraction, while the latter is caused by the shortened luteal phase due to the underdevelopment of the corpus luteum and the reduced secretion of progesterone after ovulation.
After the placement of IUD, two periods in a month is recommended to go to the hospital for examination, such as ultrasound, endocrine, etc. to clarify the cause, and should be based on the specific causes of reasonable intervention.
