What is the typical survival rate for stage 3 breast cancer?

Stage III breast cancer, if treated aggressively and effectively, generally results in a survival period of 3-5 years for patients after surgery. Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women and is closely related to estrogen and progesterone secretion, usually also related to excessive obesity, preference for high-calorie diet and early onset of first menstruation. Breast cancer is generally divided into four stages. Early detection and treatment are directly related to the prolongation of survival. When breast cancer reaches the third stage, it is the middle and late stage and usually has combined with axillary lymph node metastasis, which requires radiotherapy, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy after surgery. The degree of malignancy of the tumor, the patient’s post-operative treatment, personal physical condition and psychological quality will affect the survival time of stage III breast cancer. Patients must have a good state of mind, maintain the courage and confidence to overcome the disease and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, which is conducive to prolonging the survival period.
