Sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets are a relatively long half-life medication that, when administered orally, breaks down into sacubitril (which is subsequently further metabolized to LBQ657) and valsartan, which have half-lives of approximately 1.43 hours, 11.48 hours, and 9.9 hours, respectively. Sacubitril valsartan is currently used in adult patients with chronic heart failure (NYHA class II-IV, LVEF ≤40%) with reduced ejection fraction and for the treatment of essential hypertension. Sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets can cause adverse reactions such as angioedema, hypotension, renal impairment, and hyperkalemia.
