What to do if you have a fever caused by inflammation of the throat?

Fever caused by throat inflammation is mostly caused by infection and can be relieved by anti-infective treatment and symptomatic treatment.
1. Anti-infective treatment: fever indicates the presence of acute inflammatory response to bacterial infection and requires anti-infective treatment. Patients can take penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, cefixime and so on.
2. Symptomatic treatment: If the fever temperature is below 38.5 ℃, you can lower the temperature by physical methods, such as cold towels, ice packs on the forehead, paste antipyretic patches, with a warm bath, warm towels and so on. When the body temperature exceeds 38.5 ℃, fever-reducing drugs can be taken, commonly used non-steroidal antipyretic and analgesic drugs, such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen.
During the period of illness patients should drink plenty of water, pay attention to rest, and eat a light diet. Medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist.
