How to use skin care products for babies

Everyone wants their skin to be like a baby’s. Do you need to use skin care products for such good skin? What kind of skin care products to choose? How to use skin care products properly? Do I need to choose a sunscreen? Our skin has a natural barrier which has the following functions: firstly, to prevent water loss in the body, i.e. moisturizing function; secondly, to prevent bacteria, fungi and viruses on the surface of the skin from entering the body and causing diseases. If the baby’s skin is intact, we just need to pay attention to choose less irritating and suitable skin care products. For example, in summer we should choose a refreshing emulsion, and in winter we can choose a cream with better moisture retention; do not choose a product with a strong fragrance; and before using it, you can try it behind the ear and observe it for 48 hours to determine if you are allergic. If the baby’s skin has eczema or other skin diseases, when the integrity of the skin is destroyed, whether to use skin care products recommended to consult a physician. Chronic skin conditions that only manifest as dryness, flaking or sensitivity are mainly due to the incompleteness of the skin barrier, and it is recommended to enhance moisturization and choose medical skin care products. Baby’s skin needs different focus of protection in different seasons. In summer, our skin sweats and produces a lot of oil, so we need to choose bath products with a slightly stronger cleaning function to keep the skin clean most importantly. The number of baths can be 1-2 times a day, after bathing the skin folds to focus on wiping dry; can use prickly heat powder or talcum powder, but pay attention not to let the powder and sweat sticky like mud, blocking pores, causing folliculitis or fungal dermatitis. In winter, our skin is prone to dryness, the number of baths can be 1 every other day, while the need to choose a mild, moisturizing products, moisturizing to maintain the normal skin barrier is most important. For particularly dry skin, you can use moisturizing products with oil agents, such as glycerin, emollient oil, etc. Does my baby’s skin need sun protection? If the skin is normal, sunscreen is not recommended for babies in daily life. If it is high latitude sun or long time in the sun, you still need to use sunscreen. Because the baby’s skin stratum corneum is thin and the UV protection is weak, we can choose a sunscreen product with a delicate texture that does not contain fragrance. Many mothers know that sunlight can prevent rickets, so they often give their children sunlight, in fact, there has been research to confirm that only 15 minutes of UV exposure per day is needed to complete the daily synthesis of vitamin D needed. Therefore, we do not need to give our babies too much sunlight. In short, baby’s skin also needs the care of skin care products.
