A little bit of redness in late pregnancy may be caused by preterm labor, preterm premature labor, placenta praevia or other diseases.
1. Prolonged labor: within 24 to 48 hours before the start of labor, as the fetal membranes near the cervical opening separate from the uterine wall there, the capillaries rupture and a small amount of bleeding, mixing with the mucus in the cervical canal to form a light bloody mucus discharge, known as redness, is a more reliable sign of the imminent start of labor. Pregnant women may also experience irregular contractions and a sense of descent of the fetus.
2. Preterm labor: If the pregnancy is less than 37 weeks, and the pregnant woman has reddish color, regular or irregular contractions, accompanied by progressive shortening of the cervical canal, it may be preterm labor.
3. Placenta praevia: After 28 weeks of pregnancy, the placenta is lower than the fetal prelude, attached to the lower uterine segment, the lower edge of the cervix reaches or covers the cervical os, known as placenta praevia. Typical symptoms are late pregnancy or labor after the occurrence of unprovoked, painless recurrent vaginal bleeding.
When a pregnant woman has a little redness in late pregnancy, it needs to be considered in conjunction with other symptoms, examination results, etc. It is recommended to consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and carry out appropriate treatment.
