A small amount of clear fluid coming from the nipple, without pain or swelling of the breast, is considered normal. The breast is a secretory organ, there will be a small amount of secretions through the breast ducts, from the nipple out of the body, a small amount of milky white or clear liquid is considered normal, do not need to worry too much. It’s a good idea to keep the area around your nipples clean and hygienic, and keep your mood happy and not stressed out. If you have more fluid coming out of your nipples or if you have swollen, painful and uncomfortable symptoms, consider inflammatory infections in the breast ducts, you can do a breast ductoscopy, most of which are caused by retrograde infection of the breast ducts by bacteria through the nipples. A few patients with cystic hyperplasia of the breast may also have a small amount of nipple overflow, accompanied by breast distention and hard lumps, which can be diagnosed by ultrasound examination. If nipple overflow occurs, seek prompt medical attention.
