The healing of a fracture is the process of scab formation, and the scab formation process is a slow process that is not felt by the normal body and does not lead to local itching. The itching is caused by the abnormal sensation of nerves and skin lesions, especially the skin lesions are more obvious, while for the wound healing and the healing process of periosteal nerves, the process of regrowth of nerve fiber endings is also manifested as local itching. However, this does not mean that the growth of the scab is the cause, as the nerve does not exist inside the scab itself, but only in the periosteum on the surface of the scab. The growth of the scab is so slow that no significant change occurs in a day or two, and the body cannot feel such a small change, so the local itching is not related to the growth of the scab.
