Is there a vaccine for hepatitis E?

There is a vaccine for hepatitis E.

Hepatitis E virus is transmitted through fecal-oral transmission, and there is a risk of infection if you share a meal with someone who has hepatitis E or if you come into contact with the secretions of someone who has hepatitis E. The hepatitis E vaccine is voluntary.

Hepatitis E vaccine is a voluntary vaccination. Hepatitis E vaccine is not currently part of our immunization program, so it is not mandatory for people to get vaccinated.

Hepatitis E vaccination is required three times, one month after the first vaccination and six months after the second. The full vaccination can effectively prevent the hepatitis E virus, especially for people with poor hygiene conditions. However, the antibodies produced by hepatitis E vaccination will not be carried for life, so high-risk groups need to be vaccinated regularly under the guidance of a doctor.

Hepatitis E vaccination requires consultation with a medical professional.
