Abdominal distension is also seen in excessive gas production in the intestine caused by improper eating and intestinal obstruction causing intestinal dysplasia. In addition, ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer and liver cancer can also cause patients to suffer from prolonged abdominal distension and need to be alerted.
