Symptoms of forefoot synovitis

Patients with forefoot synovitis experience swelling, pain, elevated skin temperature, and limited mobility. Forefoot synovitis is associated with trauma, infection, and immune abnormalities, while obesity and prolonged weight bearing are predisposing factors. In the case of acute synovitis, the patient’s forefoot area will have redness, swelling, pain, elevated skin temperature, limited movement, and other symptoms, and the pain tends to worsen with activity. Patients with chronic synovitis may experience swelling and pain, but the skin temperature tends to be normal. When the current patient with plantar synovitis seeks medical examination, the blood routine can be seen elevated white blood cell count, and sometimes C-reactive protein can be seen increased. At the same time, X-ray examination showed localized swelling shadow, and MRI examination showed localized excessive fluid accumulation. If patients do not pay attention to or actively treat the disease, it will easily lead to the aggravation of the disease and induce joint deformity, which will seriously affect the quality of life. It is recommended that patients with forefoot synovitis actively cooperate with doctors in order to control the progress of the disease. Wear loose, breathable shoes and avoid strenuous exercise.
