At the time of syndactyly, all of us parents and doctors want to go without implants because of the many problems involved with implants, such as hyperpigmentation, possible necrosis, infections, scarring of the donor area, possible infections, and all sorts of other problems. How do you do it without implants? There are many ways, sometimes we do external fixation bracket to hold it open, sometimes we do trimming of subcutaneous tissue fat, or we do flap, but none of these methods are suitable for all types of syndactyly. Currently, we are using the dermal no-implant induction technique, which is simply known as the zero-implant technique, and this technique is suitable for all types of syndactyly. What does zero implant mean? It means that after the syndactyly is opened and the web is constructed, all the trauma is covered with artificial dermis, which then repairs itself and grows to cover the trauma. We have found that the postoperative appearance and function of the Zero Implant is very good.
