Osteotriol is not recommended to be taken every 3 days, it needs to be taken daily in accordance with the prescribed dosage, and the blood calcium level should be strictly monitored, and the drug needs to be discontinued if there is an abnormal elevation of blood calcium and blood creatinine.
Osteotriol is a drug that regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body, and is mainly used for the treatment of osteoporosis, renal osteodystrophy, and vitamin D-dependent rickets.
During the use of this drug, especially in the early stages of treatment, blood calcium levels need to be monitored daily and the optimal daily dose determined, so it is not recommended to take it every 3 days, so as not to lead to excessive intake at one time resulting in abnormal levels of blood calcium and other levels.
During treatment with this drug, care needs to be taken to maintain supplemental calcium intake; during periods of increased blood calcium, blood calcium and blood phosphorus levels must be measured daily. If blood calcium exceeds the normal range or if blood creatinine is greater than 120 μmol/L, the dose must be reduced or the drug must be discontinued until blood calcium is normalized. Appropriate daily water intake must be ensured during use.
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hypercalcemic state, signs of vitamin D intoxication. Children, breastfeeding women need to be used with caution.
The drug needs to be used under the supervision of a clinician, unauthorized use is prohibited.
