How much does blood pressure rise in winter

In the article “Blood pressure changes in October” reported in our platform on October 27, 2015, it was noted that according to the outpatient inquiries of more than 30 hypertensive patients at the hypertension base, most of the blood pressure changes started to increase after mid-October. The latest reported study is consistent with our observation. A study by the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Public Health and Safety, Fudan University, found that for every 1 degree Celsius decrease in outdoor temperature, human systolic blood pressure increased by approximately 0.19 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure by approximately 0.12 mm Hg. According to the conclusion of professional media interviews with Professor Toshiro Ikegaya, President of Ikegaya Hospital in Tokyo, Japan, and a physician specializing in comprehensive internal medicine certified by the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine; Professor Yu Renwen, Senior Nutrition Dietitian at Beijing Military General Hospital; and Professor Yang Wei Xian, Deputy Chief Physician of Cardiovascular Medicine at Beijing Fu Wai Hospital, there is evidence that cardiovascular diseases are high in winter. The high mortality rate in winter is a common concern in all countries, and a set of data released this year by the China Chronic Disease Prospective Study Project shows that the number of cardiovascular disease deaths in China is 41% higher in winter than in summer. Therefore, it is recommended that the majority of hypertensive cardiovascular disease patients friends, the weather becomes cold, be sure to pay attention to the changes in your blood pressure and other indicators, due to the seasonal care of health.
