What to watch for when your bowel habits change

For recent changes in bowel habits including increased frequency of stools, thinning of stools, constipation, thin stools, feeling of incomplete defecation, feeling of anal drop before stool, etc., especially for people above middle age, they should be especially alert. The following conditions should be accompanied by bowel habits: 1. history of gastrointestinal tumors in the immediate family, especially colorectal cancer; 2. mucus and blood in the stool or blood in the stool of unknown origin; 3. recent significant weight loss, anorexia, weight loss, etc.; 4. significant deterioration of physical strength, easy sweating, dizziness, etc.; 5. abdominal pain, bloating, abdominal bulging, etc. Also pay attention to constipation, which many times can make people ignore. This is especially common among elderly people at home, who do not want to trouble their children and do not tell their children when constipation, etc., occurs after a change in bowel habits. Once again, we remind our friends to pay attention to their parents and the elderly, and go to the hospital early when there is a change in bowel habits and constipation. Colorectal tumors are not scary, and the diagnosis is not difficult. Most rectal cancers can often be detected by a simple rectal finger examination performed by a physician. The diagnosis of suspected colorectal cancer can be confirmed or excluded by colonoscopy. As long as the diagnosis of colorectal cancer is confirmed by early surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy, the treatment effect is quite good.
