Can shoulder adhesions heal on their own?

Shoulder adhesions, also known as frozen shoulder, can heal on their own to some extent, but there are two directions of healing. One is that the disease can recover slowly over time without any treatment, and the pain can gradually decrease over time. However, in this case, there will be a lot of sequelae, such as a very limited range of motion of the shoulder joint. In the other direction, self-healing can be achieved with simple functional rehabilitation of the shoulder joint and no other specific treatment. This type of self-healing is better than the previous direction, as it takes less time and leaves less residual effects such as limited range of motion of the shoulder joint. However, during the self-healing process, there will still be significant pain in the shoulder joint and the patient will suffer less than with other complementary treatments and functional rehabilitation exercises.
