How to tell if a brain tumor is benign or malignant

Brain tumor is mainly judged by imaging examination and pathological biopsy to determine the benign or malignant nature of the tumor.
1. Imaging examination: nearly half of brain tumors are malignant tumors, and their diagnosis mainly includes localization diagnosis and qualitative diagnosis. Localization diagnosis is mainly to determine the relationship between the tumor site and the surrounding structures; qualitative diagnosis is mainly to diagnose the nature of the tumor and its biological characteristics.
CT and MRI examination of the head can determine the tumor site, size, number, blood supply, anatomical relationship with the surrounding tissues and structures, and make qualitative diagnosis for most of the brain tumors, including the benign and malignant nature of the tumor.
2. Pathological biopsy: directly obtaining specimens for histological examination can determine the nature of the tumor, including tumor type, benign and malignant, etc. The heterogeneity of malignant tumors is higher than that of benign tumors.
Patients with brain tumors should go to regular hospitals for relevant examinations to make a clear diagnosis and be actively treated under the guidance of doctors.
