Do you need to review after surgery for cryptorchidism?

A review is needed after cryptorchid surgery. The most critical thing to review is to see if the cryptorchid is retracted into the inguinal canal, if there is atrophy of the cryptorchid, if there is bleeding in the area where the cryptorchid is fixed, and if the testicles are developing normally. After the review of cryptorchidism surgery, a scrotal ultrasound should be done to effectively evaluate whether the cryptorchidism has continued to grow larger or has shrunk. Methemoglobin, carcinoembryonic antigen and chorionic gonadotropin examination should also be done after cryptorchidism surgery, because cryptorchidism is behind the peritoneum and has the tendency to become cancerous, even if it descends to the scrotum, the possibility of cancer is 8-10 times higher than that of normal testicles. Therefore, cryptorchidism should not be left unchecked and must be taken seriously.
