Nkt lymphoma nasal type is based on PET-CT or whole-body enhanced CT imaging, and early and advanced stages are judged according to the principle of Ann Arbor staging. Stages I and II are considered early, and stages III and IV are considered advanced.
1. Stage I refers to invasion of a lymph node area or invasion of an organ other than a separate lymph node.
2. Stage II refers to involvement of two or more lymph node regions on either side of the mediastinum.
3. Stage III refers to involvement of lymph node regions on both sides of the upper and lower diaphragm.
4. Stage IV refers to diffuse involvement of one or more organs outside the lymph nodes.
Staging is only one of the prognostic factors of lymphoma, and some specific typing of lymphoma types as well as genetic examination are also needed to help individualize the treatment, which can maximize the improvement of patients’ prognosis. Specific staging should be done under the guidance of a physician.
