The identification of swollen femur with blood stasis is based on localized purplish skin with pressure pain, dark tongue with petechiae, and stringy pulse. Clinical manifestations are swelling and pain in the limbs, elevated local skin temperature, and aneurysm of superficial veins. This disease is equivalent to deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs in western medicine. The blood stasis of this disease manifests as localized bruising and swelling of the limbs, pain when pressed, fixation of the painful areas, and angry veins. The tongue is dark with petechiae, and the pulse is stringy. Chinese medicine treatment can be used to treat with blood circulation and vein circulation soup. The composition is safflower, danshen, peach kernel, astragalus, chickweed vine, red peony, he shouwu, angelica sinensis, mudanpi and so on.
