Artificial insemination before or after ovulation

Artificial insemination (AI) is an assisted reproductive technique in which sperm is injected into the female reproductive tract in a non-sexual way. Most intrauterine inseminations are done from 48 hours before to 12 hours after ovulation. IUI allows sperm to be placed into the woman’s uterine cavity, cervix, vagina, and fallopian tubes. Most are intrauterine inseminations. Sperm can survive for 2-3 days after being injected into the uterine cavity, and the strongest fertilization ability after the egg is released is within 12 hours after ovulation, after 12 hours the fertilization ability is low, and the success rate of artificial insemination decreases significantly. Sperm fertilization time is longer than the egg, so more sperm are chosen to wait for the egg. Artificial insemination in order to improve the success rate, you can choose 2 artificial insemination, 2 before ovulation or 1 before ovulation insemination, 1 after ovulation insemination; artificial insemination can be carried out in the natural cycle, or in the ovulation promotion cycle. IUI is not recommended when the dominant follicle is greater than 3. Artificial insemination needs to be performed in a regular fertility center and completed under the guidance of a professional doctor.
