Does early cirrhosis affect IVF success?

Early stages of cirrhosis can affect the success of embryo transfer, usually leading to a decrease in the success rate, and it is recommended that pregnancy be carried out after adjustment of liver function.
When cirrhosis is detected during the preimplantation preparation, it is usually recommended to terminate the pregnancy preparation process. On the one hand, due to the application of various drugs during ovulation induction, the severity of cirrhosis may be further aggravated; on the other hand, cirrhosis may worsen during pregnancy, which not only affects the health of the pregnant woman, but also leads to serious consequences such as intrauterine foetal death in severe cases.
Therefore, it is recommended that pregnant women who have been tested for cirrhosis during the preparation for pregnancy should terminate the embryo transplantation for the time being, and treat cirrhosis symptomatically first. Early cirrhosis can be effectively relieved after medication, usually eat more fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and trace elements, less late at night, pay attention to rest, and exercise properly. After the liver function is normalized, embryo transfer can be continued.
