What’s wrong with jugular varicose veins?

Jugular vein varices can be caused by right heart failure, pericardial disease, superior vena cava thrombosis or tumor.
1. Right heart failure: right heart failure caused by pulmonary hypertension, restrictive cardiomyopathy and other organic diseases will lead to right heart insufficiency, increase the pressure of the right atrium and lead to the obstruction of superior vena cava reflux, increase venous pressure, which can be manifested as jugular vein varicose.
2. Pericardial disease: Pericardial disease caused by pericardial cyst or constrictive pericarditis, which restricts ventricular diastole, leading to obstruction of superior vena cava reflux, increased venous pressure and jugular venous varicose vein.
3. Superior vena cava thrombosis or tumor: thrombosis of the superior vena cava and compression of the superior vena cava by a tumor may also cause obstruction of the return of the superior vena cava, resulting in jugular venous stasis, which may be manifested as jugular varicose vein.
When the symptoms of jugular vein varicose appear, you should go to the hospital in time.
