Scattered small proliferative foci in both lungs often refer to relatively small hyperdense shadows in both lungs when a chest radiograph or CT chest exam is taken. Proliferative foci are generally dense shadows that are often fibrous streaks of disease that have been treated and absorbed, or that have been left behind by their own absorption. Their density is relatively high, and some of them may even show foci of calcification. The small proliferative foci can be observed clinically first, and the chest CT can be reviewed after 3-6 months. if there is no change, dynamic observation can be continued. if the proliferative foci are found to be increasing in size during the review, further examination should be done in the hospital to clarify whether there are other diseases.
