Yandiro is the trade name and generic name of Alfa Osteocortisol Soft Capsules, which is used for the treatment of rickets and cartilage disease, osteoporosis and so on. The main effect of the drug is to increase the level of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 in the blood circulation of the body, thus increasing the intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate, promoting bone mineralization, reducing plasma parathyroid hormone levels, while reducing the dissolution of bone calcium, and ultimately alleviate bone and muscle pain as well as improve the osteoporosis caused by obstacles to intestinal calcium absorption due to menopause, aging and endocrine changes. The drug can be clinically used for the treatment of osteoporosis; renal bone disease (nephropathic rickets); hyperparathyroidism (with bone disease); hypoparathyroidism; nutritional and absorption disorders caused by rickets and osteomalacia; pseudodeficiency of calcium (D – dependent type I) rickets and osteomalacia. It should be noted that some patients may have loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, as well as itching sensation on the skin after taking this product. Contraindicated in hypercalcemia, hyperphosphatemia (except with hypoparathyroidism), and hypomagnesemia. Alfacalcitol should not be taken by patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in this product or known hypersensitivity to vitamin D and analogs.
