Can I have my teeth cleaned after wisdom teeth extraction?

It is not recommended to clean the teeth just after the wisdom teeth are extracted. It is generally recommended to clean the teeth more than one week after the wisdom teeth are extracted. Moreover, if a patient plans and requests a scaling before the entire treatment and also requests wisdom teeth removal, then the order of treatment should be to give the patient a scaling first and then remove the wisdom teeth, which is a relatively perfect and safe order of treatment. If the wisdom teeth are extracted first and then scaled, the stains and tartar washed out during the scaling process may flow into the corresponding extraction wound area, causing infection in the extraction wound area and posing a greater risk to the patient. Therefore, scaling and wisdom tooth extraction can be done at the same time, but it is recommended to give priority to scaling and then consider wisdom tooth extraction.
