It is not true that “three types of people are prone to hernias”. The main causes of hernias are weak tissue structure and increased intra-abdominal pressure. The occurrence of hernia is related to the primary disease as well as the physiology of the individual, and the incidence of hernia is higher in patients with a history of related diseases. A hernia is a condition in which normal tissue passes through a weak part of the body to reach another normal part of the body, such as an umbilical hernia, hiatal hernia, white line hernia, or incisional hernia. Most hernias are formed when there is a long-standing weak area in the body that breaks through that weak area and leaves the normal anatomy. Clinically, hernias tend to occur when the primary cause of the disease leads to an increase in intra-abdominal pressure. Such as heavy manual labor, chronic cough, constipation, prostate hyperplasia, etc. The current clinical treatment is mainly surgical treatment, such as hernia repair. Prevention of hernias requires active exercise to strengthen muscles and treatment of chronic diseases that can increase abdominal pressure. For patients who have undergone abdominal surgery, regular checkups are needed to prevent incisional hernia.
