What’s wrong with a hard lump in your ear?

If you have a hard lump in your ear, there are two conditions: 1) cerumen embolism, or earwax, you can use 5% sodium bicarbonate ear drops and flush the external ear canal after 3 days. If there is no such thing, it is usually a cerumen embolism. 2. It may be a cholesteatoma of the external auditory canal. It is possible that a cholesteatoma in the external ear canal may cause ear pain, and in severe cases it can stimulate the formation of polyps in the external ear canal. It is advisable to clean the cholesteatoma and then do an endoscopy to see. Cholesteatomas are long lasting and can generally destroy the outer ear canal wall as well as damage the eardrum. If there is damage to the tympanic membrane or the posterior wall of the external ear canal, it is recommended that a CT examination of the temporal bone be performed first, and if necessary, surgery can be performed.
