Cervical spine as well as throat discomfort may be the result of one disease, or there may be cervical spine disease as well as laryngeal disease respectively. One disease causes the common type of esophageal compression in cervical spine disease, due to degeneration and protrusion of the cervical vertebrae, and the forward compression of the esophagus and trachea, resulting in cervical discomfort and throat discomfort, or it may be due to infectious diseases of the cervical spine, such as the development of septic inflammation or tuberculosis infection of the cervical spine that can produce paravertebral abscesses, which can also produce throat discomfort by forward compression of the esophagus and trachea. It may also be caused by two separate diseases, such as laryngitis, upper respiratory tract infection or tracheal and esophageal diseases that produce laryngeal discomfort, combined with cervical spondylosis, degeneration and strain in the neck, etc. Patients are advised to go to the hospital for a clear diagnosis.
