Dietary treatments for liver cancer in the middle and late stages

There is no dietary treatment for patients with middle and late stage liver cancer, and patients should usually maintain a light diet and balanced nutrition. When diet fails to meet the target requirement, nutritional support therapy can be carried out as prescribed by doctors. Since food does not have any therapeutic effect, patients with middle to late stage liver cancer cannot promote the recovery of their condition through diet therapy. Patients’ diet should be light and nutritionally balanced, and they can consume protein-rich foods, such as eggs, shrimp, fish, etc., to replenish high-quality proteins in their body; they should also consume more fresh fruits and vegetables, such as apples, bok choy, carrots, and other fresh fruits and vegetables. If patients still cannot meet the target requirement after dietary guidance, enteral and parenteral nutritional support therapy can be given under the guidance of doctors. It is suggested that patients with middle and advanced stage of liver cancer should follow the doctor’s instruction to maintain correct dietary habits, and when nutrition cannot meet the demand, corresponding treatment can be carried out according to the doctor’s instruction.
