Small red dots on the baby’s face may be considered to be infantile eczema or infantile acne, two diseases that can be clinically distinguished by the naked eye. Infantile eczema is mainly a pruritic maculopapular rash without painful symptoms, sometimes it may be accompanied by obvious oozing, but infantile acne is very obvious and can be seen as a yellow pus head on top of red dots, the patient has no itchy symptoms and may have obvious pain on pressure. For the treatment of infantile eczema, topical glycolic lotion and zinc oxide cream are recommended. If itching is intense, compound camphor cream can be used. Infantile acne does not require treatment and can return to normal in six months to a year. You can also use topical erythromycin ointment as an anti-inflammatory.
