Qiangwu Sheng Dampness Tang has the efficacy of relieving pain, dispelling wind and overcoming dampness, and can be used to treat paralysis caused by wind-dampness offending the surface. Qiangwu Sheng Dampness Tang, which is composed of Fangfeng (防风), Zhi Gan Cao (炙甘草), Duhao (独活), Qiangwu (羌活), Chuanxiong (川芎), Brambleberry (蔓荆子), and Ligustrum (藁本), is effective in relieving pain, dispelling wind, and winning the battle against dampness (dispelling dampness). Qiangwu Sheng Dampness Tang can be used for the treatment of paralysis with wind-dampness offending the surface (wind-dampness invading into the body causing muscle and joint pain), difficulty in turning side to side, pain in the lumbar spine, whiteness of the moss, pain in the back and shoulder (pain in the scapulae and shoulder joints), and headache with heaviness in the body (headache with heaviness in the body). Adverse reactions and contraindications to this drug are not known. It is recommended that the patient can be treated with Qiang Wu Sheng Dampness Tang formula under the guidance of a doctor. If the patient’s body is heavy with dampness, or if there is soreness in the limbs, the patient can be treated with the addition of Cangzhu and Xiaoxin under the guidance of a doctor.
